Even in winter, Esterházy Palace opens its doors to visitors.
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore the palace during the quieter off-season. On a 75-minute guided tour, you’ll discover selected highlights of this historic site.
The tour includes the world-famous Haydn Hall, celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, and the Baroque palace chapel. You’ll journey through the elegant state rooms on the main floor, gaining insights into the festive culture and lifestyle of the Esterházy princes. Among the highlights are exquisite objects from the princely collections and a lavishly set banquet table, which immerses visitors in the opulent dining traditions of around 1800, when the aristocracy dined in luxurious surroundings.
This tour offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of the Esterházy princely family, introduces you to Joseph Haydn’s patrons, with whom he worked for over four decades, and showcases the architectural evolution of the palace.
