The music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gioachino Rossini combines musical brilliance with dramatic expressiveness. Both composers left an indelible mark on European musical history and remain synonymous to this day with the fusion of virtuosic technique, melodic beauty, and theatrical energy.
While Rossini’s overtures and arias open up the spirited world of Italian opera with their characteristic lightness and rhythmic vitality, Mozart’s music leads into a deeper emotional dimension. His Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor ranks among the most impressive and dramatic works in the classical concert repertoire. The concert aria “Ch’io mi scordi di te?” also creates a particularly intimate musical dialogue between voice, piano, and orchestra.
The matinee performance by the Orchestra Sinfonica della Magna Grecia combines opera, concert, and virtuoso solo playing into a vibrant musical panorama.
