Marc Minkowski has long been regarded as one of the most distinguished and also most versatile of conductors - and certainly not only in the period instruments movement. He has always had a particularly close relationship with the works of Haydn, as evidenced by his numerous performances and CDs. Soprano Marlis Petersen is a master in her field who has been widely acclaimed, including in Eisenstadt, for her ability to combine stunning technique with great emotion in concert arias.
