Together with the chamber orchestra he founded, the Kremerata Baltica, and high-quality instrumental soloists, Kremer will devote himself to the intensive exploration of musical spheres and the step-by-step development of the detailed concert programmes. In the spring residency, the chamber orchestra will embark on a journey of discovery into far-away musical cultures with a Baltic-Arabic focus. The autumn residency, when Gidon Kremer himself takes to the stage, will be under the influence of the classic modern, with composers such as Stravinsky, Britten, and Hindemith, who are particularly dear to Kremer’s heart. One of the autumn concerts will take advantage of the romantic charm of the Bergkirche Donnerskirchen and will be a very special event with a specially-designed concert package.
